Behaviour teaching assistant
Due to a restructuring in our client schools support department, there is an immediate need for a behaviour teaching assistant to join them on a temporary basis, working in the inclusion unit and providing classroom support for key students who regularly display challenging behaviour.
- £50 to £65 per day, paid weekly in arrears

- ASAP start, post expected to continue until at least July 17
- Oldham primary school, nearby local Metrolink station
Our client school is an oversubscribed secondary which is well regarded in the local community for the excellent work in recent years in quickly accelerating pupil levels and progress. The school is currently at capacity with over 400 students on roll which all coming from local areas such as Royton, Shaw and Milnrow. The school was recently designated a centre of excellence, and recent refurbishments to areas of the school have created interactive learning spaces. The school also has on-site provisions for students who are at risk of temporary or permanent exclusions, in which you will work with pastoral teams to reduce the number of students excluded.
During this post as a behaviour teaching assistant, you will work as a key worker for a number of students across KS2, supporting them during their studies and minimalising low-level disruption in lessons. You will also deliver strategies devised by behaviour lead to reduce the risk of exclusion, along with support students working independently in the inclusion unit.
If you would like to apply to work at our client school as a behaviour teaching assistant, please send your CV to Christopher.morgan@teachingpersonnel.com or call Chris on 0161 242 1790.
