SEMH Teaching Assistant in Morecambe LA4

-          Based in Morecambe or willing to commute

-          Full time role starting January 2026

-          Competitive pay depending on experience - £13.75 - £14.50

-          Experience working with SEMH and 1:1 support

A small school in the Morecambe (LA4) area are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their support team, full time, starting in January 2026. This role will be required until the end of the academic year so will need a dedicated and patient individual.

This role will be full time to support for this year 5 child to progress academically and socially, so prior experience helping children with SEMH, particularly autism, will be essential. The right TA for this role will need be compassionate, committed and calm to help this child thrive.

This school has a devoted SENDCO and SEN team who will provide any support needed in the role. This is a class-based TA role, but the child does have access to a range of SEN provisions tailored to his needs and there to help support you in your role.

  • You have experience supporting learners with special educational needs, specifically SEMH and/or Autism
  • You are looking for a full-time opportunity in a small but supportive primary school
  • You are a dedicated TA who will be able to offer consistent support
  • You have a calm and compassionate attitude towards working with children and you’re able to tailor your support style to suit the individual that you’re working with

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
