SEMH Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an alternative provision in Liskeard who are seeking new Learning Support Mentors. This role is perfect for anybody with either previous school or care experience,

The role of a teaching assistant will consist of helping students on a 1:1 basis as well as providing group support. As it’s an alternative provision, the day is split up into two halves. The first part of the day will include academic learning, including English, Maths, Science, Art and the second part will be doing some form of activity that helps develop a young person’s social, emotional and mental health.

The school require you to:

• Have strong behaviour management
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Be confident in working with small groups of children away from the classroom
• Have an updated DBS – Teaching Personnel can help you apply for this
• A full UK Driving Licence, clean and have access to a car.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
