SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students in a specialist school setting in Devizes, catering to children and young people aged 7 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and behavioural barriers to learning.
This full-time opportunity begins in September 2025, with the flexibility to start sooner in either a part-time or full-time role depending on your availability.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting students with SEMH and ASC needs in and out of the classroom

Encouraging emotional regulation and appropriate behaviour through consistent routines

Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists to implement personalised support plans

Helping create a calm, safe and engaging learning environment

Acting as a trusted adult and positive role model to young people with complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
