SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students in a specialist school setting in Devizes, catering to children and young people aged 7 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and behavioural barriers to learning.

This full-time opportunity begins in September 2025, with the flexibility to start sooner in either a part-time or full-time role depending on your availability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting students with SEMH and ASC needs in and out of the classroom

• Encouraging emotional regulation and appropriate behaviour through consistent routines

• Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists to implement personalised support plans

• Acting as a trusted adult and positive role model to young people with complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
