Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Chobham, Surrey

Are you passionate about supporting young people with their education and development? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for a full-time position at a specialist SEMH school in the Chobham area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed team within a supportive and structured environment, working with students who have additional educational needs.

  • Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

  • Location: Chobham, Surrey

  • Contract Type: Full-Time (Term Time Only)

  • Start Date: ASAP or negotiable for the right candidatE

 

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with additional needs. Your role will involve one-to-one support, small group work, and helping to create a positive learning environment.

This role is ideal for someone patient, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who may face barriers to learning.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs is highly desirable

  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Must have access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence – the school is not easily accessible via public transport

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
