Teaching Personnel, a leading education recruitment agency, is actively seeking a friendly teaching assistant to join one of their fantastic SEN schools.

About The School:

One of our partner primary to secondary SEN/SEMH schools is seeking to recruit a passionate teaching assistant to join their team. This school focuses on building trust with their students whilst building a personalised and engaging learning environment. The team at this school want to help children enjoy learning again. They want to encourage children to take part in their own learning journey and have fun whilst doing it.

Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

As a valued member of the school’s team, you will be supported throughout your time there. You will have access to various supportive techniques, and the children you will be supporting will already have plans in place for you to follow.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN needs.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students where they feel safe.
  • Assisting with classroom activities and individualised learning plans.
  • Implementing strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborating with teachers and fellow support staff to foster a positive environment.
  • Promoting the well-being, confidence and inclusion of all students.

We welcome individuals who have:

  • Previous experience in support work, supporting students or young adults, or family members with SEN.
  • Understanding of ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Passionate about all students achieving their potential, by being provided the correct care and support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
