SEMH Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a passionate, SEND Maths and PE Teacher  to work with children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Haelth (SEMH) on a full time basis. The individual must have experience working with people with disabilities and want to fully commit to this role.

-          Competitive pay rates of GBP500-700 per week, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf

The successful candidate must have experience in some of the following areas:

-          Support / Care Work

-          Working with Autism or through personal reasons

-          Worked with SEMH provisions / schools

-          Youth Work backgrounds

-          Have QTS and experience teaching Maths and PE

-          The relevant qualifications

Working as a SEMH Maths and PE Teacher, you will be supporting children accompanied by a Teacher and another Teaching Assistant. You will be working with children and young people with a multitude of SEND such as:

-           Disruptive, antisocial and uncooperative behaviour

-           Temper tantrums

-           Frustration, anger and verbal and physical threats / aggression

-           Withdrawn and depressed attitudes

-           Anxiety and self-harm

-           Stealing

-           Truancy

-           Vandalism

-           Drug abuse
