Job description

SEMH Support 

We are currently recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants and Support Staff to work in specialist schools across Preston. This is a flexible opportunity offering ad hoc supply work, with the potential for long-term and permanent contracts for the right candidates. You will be supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them to engage with learning, manage behaviour positively, and develop confidence in the classroom. Roles are available in primary and secondary settings.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs

  • Are calm, resilient, and able to build positive relationships

  • Can work flexibly on an ad hoc basis, with availability during school hours

  • Are open to long-term or permanent opportunities as they arise

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
