Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to work in SEN and SEMH settings across Fareham and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in specialist and mainstream schools, helping them to succeed both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis inside and outside the classroom

  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored activities

  • Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively

  • Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

 

About You:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs (desirable)

  • Calm, patient, and adaptable with strong communication skills

  • Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives

  • Must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (or already on the Update Service)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
