Teaching Assistant – SEN/SEMH Support – Fareham
Fareham | £13.75 per hour | Term Time Only | Full-Time or Part-Time

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges?
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to work in SEN and SEMH settings across Fareham and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in specialist and mainstream schools, helping them to succeed both academically and emotionally.
The Role:

Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis inside and outside the classroom

Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored activities
-
Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
-
Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
About You:
-
Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs (desirable)
-
Calm, patient, and adaptable with strong communication skills
-
Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives
-
Must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (or already on the Update Service)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
