Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH provision in Salford this September.

This rewarding role involves teaching secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, autism, and behavioural challenges. Many students have faced difficulties in mainstream education and require a supportive, relationship-focused approach to help them succeed.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Differentiate learning to meet a range of academic abilities and SEMH needs.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage attendance, engagement, and achievement.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic progress.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

What We're Looking For

  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A resilient, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • Experience within SEMH, SEND, alternative provision, or PRU settings is advantageous but not essential.
