SEMH Learning Support Assistant

We are currently looking for amazing full time Learning Support Assistants to join one of our SEMH schools across Surrey in Woking. We work closely with a school in Chobham that provides support for boys from Year 3 up to Year 11 all of whom have a statement identifying social, emotional and mental health difficulties as their primary need.  The school is committed to helping students with diverse emotional and behavioral needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The ideal Learning Support Assistant would:

• Hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Have an understanding and experience of working with young people with SEN or SEMH needs
• Hold an undergraduate degree (not essential)
• Have experience of managing challenging behaviour
• Have a calm, caring nature
• Be able to work individually and as part of a team
• Have understanding of safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
