SEMH Learning Mentor - New Milton

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Learning Mentors, Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work on a one to one basis with students, who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties on a Full Time basis starting over the next couple of months.

The School

The school is a unique educational provision, providing a safe and supportive environment for young people aged between 7 and 16 years old. The school caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, who find mainstream education difficult and prides itself on recognising young people's emotions.

Based outside of central New Milton, it is proud of it's recent grade of "Good" by OFSTED and their new facilities for 2019.

The Candidate

It is essential that you have:

- Experience of working with children within or without a school setting

- A strong desire to help children achieve their potential

- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, PECS, Makaton and/or Team Teach

- Ambition to grow and progress with education

- Experience working in specialist schools such as SEN schools or Pupil Referral Units

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
