This role offers the chance to work in a small, supportive setting where you can prioritise individual progress, build strong relationships, and deliver meaningful learning experiences.

The Role:

  • Deliver English across KS3 and KS4 to very small classes (typically 3 pupils)
  • Reduced teaching timetable, with dedicated PPA and planning time built into the school day

  • Work closely with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Foster a structured, calm and engaging learning space

The School:

  • Independent SEMH school with a strong emphasis on personalised education
  • Small class sizes to maximise engagement and support
  • Collaborative, supportive staff team with a holistic approach to learning and development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level
  • Confident supporting pupils with SEMH needs or similar challenges
  • Flexible and willing to contribute beyond your subject specialism
  • Resilient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships quickly
  • Outgoing and adaptable in a dynamic school environment

What’s on Offer:

  • M1–M6 pay scale, dependent on experience
  • Reduced timetable with built-in PPA and planning time
  • Opportunity for a permanent position
  • Supportive leadership and close-knit team
  • A role where you can make a genuine, lasting impact on pupils who need a more tailored approach to education
