Maths Teacher (SEMH) – Chorley
Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:00 | M1–M6 Pay Scale | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
A specialist SEMH provision in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a highly supportive, small-school environment where relationships and individual progress are at the heart of everything.
The Role:
- Deliver Maths across KS3 and KS4 to very small classes (typically 3 pupils)
- Reduced teaching timetable, allowing time for high-quality planning and PPA during the school day
- Provide additional support across other subject areas and wider school activities when required
- Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Contribute to a calm, structured and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 level
- Confident working with pupils with SEMH needs or similar backgrounds
- Flexible, proactive and willing to support beyond their subject specialism
- Positive, resilient and able to build rapport quickly
- Outgoing personality with a strong sense of initiative

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
