Secondary Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you an aspiring teacher looking for experience within a mainstream secondary school?
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a secondary school located within Stoke-on-Trent, looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students across the school. The school is in a great location with excellent transport links between Crewe, Sandbach and Congleton.
About the role:
- Full-time opportunity
- Working 1-1 or within small groups with students who require additional academic support
- Opportunity to support across a range of subjects and year groups
- Supporting the class teacher and ensuring the schools behaviour policies are followed
- Opportunity to earn £90-£95 per day (dependent on experience)
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people within a school setting is necessary
- A genuine passion for supporting young people in education
- Safeguarding training (this must be done through Teaching Personnel)
- At least 2 references covering the last 24 months of employment/study
- Immediate start date upon registration with Teaching Personnel
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registration with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
