About the Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of the usual class teacher. You’ll be expected to manage the classroom, maintain positive behaviour, and ensure pupils remain engaged and on task. The school has a strong inclusive ethos, with pupils who may have a range of learning needs, including mild to moderate SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering set lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a focused environment

• Supporting students with varying abilities, including those with SEN

• Ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences

• Collaborating with school staff and following school policies

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive teaching
