Teacher – Secondary Alternative Provision (PRU)
Location: Thrapston and/or Northampton
Contract: Full-time/ part-time
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a committed, resilient and compassionate teacher to join our Secondary Alternative Provision supporting young people who require a personalised and therapeutic approach to education.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about re-engaging learners, building strong relationships, and making a genuine difference to pupils’ lives.
The Role
You will:

Teach and support secondary-aged pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs
-
Deliver engaging, adapted lessons that meet individual learning needs
-
Create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
-
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, families and external agencies
-
Support pupils’ academic progress, emotional regulation and reintegration pathways
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
-
Is a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) or has relevant teaching experience
-
Has experience in PRU, AP, SEN or pastoral settings (desirable, not essential)
-
Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
-
Is patient, reflective and emotionally intelligent
-
Believes in restorative, trauma-informed approaches to behaviour and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
