SEN Secondary Teacher – General English or Year 7 Transition Teacher – New Forest (September Start)

A well-regarded specialist school in the heart of the New Forest is seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEN Secondary Teacher to join their team from September. The school is open to candidates with experience in teaching English at KS3/KS4 or those who are confident in delivering a Year 7 transition-style curriculum, with a focus on basic English, maths, and humanities, taught in a nurturing, primary-style approach.

  • Position: SEN Secondary Teacher (English or Year 7 Transition)

  • Contract: Full-time, long-term/permanent
  • Salary: Paid to scale, depending on experience

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in an SEN or inclusive setting is highly desirable
  • Ability to deliver either English at KS3/KS4 or a primary-style, cross-curricular programme for Year 7 pupils
  • A nurturing, flexible teaching style and a commitment to supporting children with complex needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
