Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher (Supply)
Location: Gateshead
Start Date: February 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £130–£251 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
-
Work collaboratively with established science departments to support student progress
-
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
-
Strong subject knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum
-
Excellent communication, classroom management, and leadership skills
-
A flexible, proactive approach to supply teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
