Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher (Supply)

Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £130–£251 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through science? Do you thrive on bringing Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to life in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Science Supply Teacher to work across secondary schools in the Gateshead area.

The Role

As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs

  • Work collaboratively with established science departments to support student progress

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum

  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and leadership skills

  • A flexible, proactive approach to supply teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
