Science Teacher

Location: Carmarthen

Hours: 8:30 -3:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: £864.80 per week

About The Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Science Teacher who is ready to make a positive impact on the pupils in one of our highly rated Secondary schools in the Carmarthen area! This is your chance to work in a school with an experienced department and strong leadership team – this position includes teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics you will help students explore their curiosity and grow their confidence in the subject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons – including practical demonstrations.
  • Inspire pupils to explore their inquisitiveness and to test their hypothesis.
  • Prepare students for GSCE Science and help them to develop their knowledge.
  • Create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support learners of mixed abilities and differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS (children only) on the update service or willing to obtain.
  • EWC registration.
  • Safeguarding (children and young people).
  • 24 months of references (factual, characteristics and for childcare).
  • NQT or FQT qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or related field.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level in the UK.
  • UK driving license (preferred)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
