Secondary School Cover Supervisor- Leigh

Teaching Personnel have been approached by one of our partner secondary schools in the Leigh area to recruit for Cover Supervisors to work on a daily basis.

This is largely to support the school in the absence of the teachers/internal cover team e.g. sickness, school trips, training courses etc. As a result, this provides you with a fantastic opportunity to work in a very supportive school and increase the work opportunities available to you now and in the future.

Overview;

  • Covering lessons across all subject areas by delivering pre-set work.
  • Supporting the pupils with their studies and above all, ensuring that they are on task with minimal or no disruption.
  • Ensuring that all pupils behave in accordance to the school's policy and dealing with any matters that do arise in a competent and professional manner.

These roles are perfect for anyone with any experience of working with 11-16 year olds in an educational capacity whether that be youth work or sports coaching, drama/dance teaching etc. They are also ideal for any Teaching Assistants who wish to progress to leading full classes and a unique opportunity to gain more experience whilst earning money at the same time.

Our partner school is average in size but is set to increase over the next couple of years. Most of the pupils who attend the school are from White British backgrounds.

It is located within the Leigh area which offers excellent access to the surrounding areas of Wigan, Warrington, and Bolton.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
