Job title- Secondary Maths Teacher

Location- Newcastle Upon Tyne

Position- Full-time

Start date- April 2026

Pay- £130-£251 a day (Paid to Scale from Day 1)

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Maths Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator who is eager to inspire students and contribute to a supportive community.

About the role:

  • Deliver informative and engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (opportunities to explore KS5 depending on capability)
  • Plan and implement lessons that cater to a range of abilities
  • Creating a positive learning environment for both staff and students
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management, safeguarding, and student wellbeing

Desirable candidates will have:

  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience as a Maths teacher within a secondary school
  • High-quality communication skills
  • High standards surrounding safeguarding, classroom management and student behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
