Job description

We are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Mansfield who are seeking Cover Supervisors, supporting the school when needed.

The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. Work will be set in advance, and your role will be to maintain a positive learning environment, ensure students stay on task, and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and activities

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively

  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff as required

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A calm, confident, and professional approach

  • Flexibility and reliability

  • An understanding of, or willingness to work within, a Catholic school ethos

  • Has a DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
