Science Tutor
Job description
At TP Tutors, we believe that science is not just a subject—it’s a gateway to curiosity, exploration, and innovation. As a Science tutor, you'll be the key to helping students understand and appreciate the world around them through the lens of scientific knowledge. Whether it's Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a combination of all three, your role is to make science engaging, accessible, and inspiring for every student.
We are currently seeking Science Tutors in Lincoln and the surrounding areas to support students looking for extra help in their studies. You’ll bring your expertise, enthusiasm, and passion for the subject to each lesson, enabling students to build their understanding and confidence in science.
Pay: £25 - £30 per hour
Additional Info:
A full UK driving license is desirable, as some students may require home or library-based tutoring.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalized 1:1 or small group tuition in the sciences, covering subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Help students improve their understanding of scientific concepts, theories, and practical applications.

Motivate students to embrace scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Tailor lessons to meet the specific needs of each student, ensuring progress and engagement.

Foster a positive, interactive, and supportive learning environment while adhering to safeguarding policies.
Requirements:

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching Science.

Enhanced DBS check for Child Workforce (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.

Experience working with children or young people is preferred.

Previous teaching experience in the UK is desirable, along with experience in classroom or 1:1 settings.

In-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Safeguarding training is preferred.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
