Are you an experienced or Newly Qualified Science Teacher seeking a new role within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school in Oldham? Due to a gap in department we are seeking a Science Teacher to join the school before the Christmas break for a long term, full time position. The incoming Science Teacher would be employed on a temporary basis initially until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity of a permanent contract in September 2020/2021.

-          Full time position teaching Science to both KS3 and GCSE level

-          Working within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school in Oldham

-          Paid in line with teaching scale point and responsibilities (MPS/UPS)

-          Further training and development opportunities available

The Head Teacher has opened this vacancy to both experienced Science Teachers as well as those who have recently qualified and are seeking their introduction to their first post. The incoming Science Teacher will be joining a very welcoming and supportive Science Department, making this a very suitable position for an NQT, with them benefiting from a bespoke NQT programme tailored to their individual needs. More experienced Science Teachers will be given the opportunity to take on further responsibility if they desire, with this being reflected in their pay.

The school is located in the heart of Oldham and is easily accessible by public transport as well as own vehicle with free on site parking for staff. With an impressive and modern main building, the school has recently undergone a multi million pound refurbishment resulting in state of the art facilities throughout, resulting in excellent teaching and learning provisions throughout.
