SCIENCE TEACHER- RCT

Here at Teaching Personnel we have been approached by one of our Secondary Schools to support with their recruitment for a general Science Teacher. The schools, which is situated within the Rhondda Cynon Taff LEA are looking to fill an upcoming maternity with a qualified Science Teacher.

The school are open to seeing Teachers of any Science specialism, but have stated that the successful Teacher needs to be competent in delivering KS3 general Science as well as their specialism for the rest of the timetable. The role specifics:

  • Maternity cover until the end of the academic year
  • Previous Teaching experience is required althought NQT applications will be considered
  • Pay rates from ÂŁ90 per day
  • Pupils ages 11-18
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum

The school has noticed a drop in results in previous years and is looking for a Teacher capable of supporting pupils through their GCSE's in order to maintain the schools vision of improving through innovative Teaching and support. Due to the nature of this role the need to be engaging and enthusiastic is essential as some of the pupils are known to have challenging behaviour which will need to be supported alongside the academic learning of all abilities.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
