A school based on the west of Southampton are currently recruiting for a highly motivated full time Science teacher to join their team from September 2020. The role will be on a full time basis however part time applicants are also encouraged to apply on the possibility of a job share..
The school has a tradition of high academic expectations which is nurtures by a culture which values achievement through all activities. The school fully supports the development of all students and staff through extensive CPD opportunities to enable you to further your career. The role will include teaching across the KS3 and KS4 double science syllabus. This entails teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The successful candidate will be joining a team which listens and supports all staff as reflected within the latest Ofsted visit which stated “Leaders listen keenly to the regular feedback they receive from parents, carers, staff and pupils. They keep the community well informed of their strategies to improve the school. As a result, staff feels listened to and parents and pupils are very positive about school and the education it provides”.
Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) are encouraged to apply, the school have a fantastic NQT program which is orientated around supporting you and helping you continually develop as a teacher and aid you in your career progression.
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a degree, a postgraduate qualification would be desirable.
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
• The ability to cover a variety of subjects.
• A passion for teaching and a desire to make a difference.
The school are looking for the right candidate to start in September 2020, all candidates will be considered, and virtual interviews will be arranged on application.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
