A well renowned co-educational secondary school in the Warrington area is looking for a Science teacher to start with them in on Monday 6th January. This science position has become available as a result of a maternity leave due to take place within their supportive Science department from the beginning of the new term. This Science teaching position will involve teaching all sciences at KS3 and KS4 with a focus on Physics ideally but there will be flexibility in this. If the successful scientist has a particular specialism other than Physics then there is a possibility to have a focus in the timetable directed towards this as the school are possibly able to move things around for the right candidate.

Highlights of this science teaching position:

  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale but range between GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum (earn up to GBP3000 per month)
  • Full time science teaching position starting on Monday 6th November
  • Open vacancy within this highly supportive science department
  • Initially on a supply basis with the opportunity to progress onto a school based permanent contract after 1 term

This secondary school is a large school based in the Warrington area, with a fantastic reputation amongst the schools in the local area. The senior leadership team is highly supportive of all staff members with the Deputy Headteacher and Head of Science working closely together in regards to ensuring the department is well resourced and fully staffed.

Given its location, the school has plenty of local transport links with the local train station within a short bus ride and the M6 and M56 motorway networks travelling close to this secondary school aswell. The school itself is housed in a relatively new building with excellent facilities and state of art laboratories as part of the science department.

  • Strong classroom practitioner required for this science teaching position
  • NQTs will be supported through their induction
  • Plenty of ongoing CPD opportunities internally with the school as well as with Teaching Personnel
