Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking specialist education setting from Easter. This is a full-time role, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about making science engaging, accessible and meaningful for all learners.

The Role
The successful candidate will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students working towards GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and support student progress

  • Create a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate
You will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching GCSE Science and Functional Skills, or demonstrate the ability to do so effectively

  • Be resilient, flexible and committed to supporting students with diverse needs

  • Have strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
