Teaching Personnel are working with a supportive secondary school in Totton, who are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic science teacher to start in September 2023.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a school Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school with a strong sense of community and a fantastic team of specialist staff.

The school is located in the town of Totton which is close to the nearby city buzz of Southampton, the charm of the old city of Winchester and the idyllic outdoors of the New Forest just a few minutes away. Transport links to London are excellent for those who like to explore further afield.

What are we looking for?
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching
- Capable of planning for students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, and inspiring them to reach their full potential
- A knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them to motivate students
- A track record of positive impact upon student outcomes
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience of delivering Science GCSE
- Suitable school-based references
- Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
- A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life
- Be educated to degree level
- Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
