Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree, Enhanced DBS, EWC, Safeguarding

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons to students
  • Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Design and Technology or related field
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration
  • Training in Safeguarding

Education:

A Bachelor Degree in Design and Technology or a relevant subject.

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching Design and Technology is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Effective behaviour management techniques
  • Resilience to handle challenging situations
  • Patience and empathy towards students

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant field

Working Conditions:

This role involves working full-time hours in a school setting, following the academic calendar. The Design and Technology Teacher will be expected to comply with school policies and regulations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
