Job Title: Teacher of Science

Location: Thanet

Full/Part Time:  Full Time

Start Date: September 2020

Pay Range: GBP120.00 to GBP200.00 per day

Teacher of Science - Thanet

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a mixed, non-selective 11-18 foundation school of 900 students on the border of the lovely coastal towns of Ramsgate and Broadstairs in South East Kent.

The school is at an exciting time of its development having been formed out of the recent amalgamation of two schools. The school is arranged over a split site with Years 7 and 8 on our Lower Site and Year 9 along with Key Stages 4 and 5 at our Upper Site.

This school is an International Baccalaureate Organisation World School and run International Baccalaureate programmes for our 6th Form and Key Stage 3 students.

The school are currently in the process of formally academising and work closely with our Trust partner schools which include other local primary and secondary schools.  Our most recent Ofsted inspection judged behaviour, personal development and the 6th Form as good and was very positive about the significant improvements in the quality of education that the school has made over the past few years.

The Science Department is central to the success of the school, has good facilities and a hard-working committed team of specialists. They are seeking a well qualified graduate who has the ability to teach Science at every level. If you are ambitious, talented and keen to make sure students progress – then this is the job for you!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
