Job Advert: Science Teacher
Position: Science Teacher
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (£32,000 - £45,350 per annum)
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Preston, Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for science among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4).
- Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Use innovative teaching methods to support and inspire students of all abilities.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
- Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in a relevant science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
