Science Teacher

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Portsmouth area. This is a long-term, full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring General Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning among their students. They will plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum, create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assess and report on student progress effectively, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and pastoral care. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, along with strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, proven ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities, and excellent classroom management and communication skills. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
