Science Teacher
Job description
A welcoming and high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking to appoint a fully qualified Science Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time basis from Easter 2026.

The Role:
The successful candidate will:

Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience would be advantageous but is not essential).

Plan, prepare and assess in line with national curriculum requirements.

Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners.
-
Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum.

Play an active role in the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate:
The school is looking for a teacher who:
-
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
-
Has strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.
-
Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
-
Has a clear commitment to raising achievement and maintaining high expectations.
-
Works well as part of a team and is keen to contribute positively to department initiatives.
Both experienced teachers and strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply. The school offers a supportive induction programme and ongoing CPD opportunities to ensure staff continue to grow and thrive in their careers.

This full-time position is due to commence from Easter 2026.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
