Science Teacher
Job description
A popular and fast-improving secondary school located in North Oldham is recruiting a Science teacher to join their collaborative team this September. The school is part of a multi-academy trust that has invested heavily in facilities and staff development, with Science identified as a flagship department for the 2025–26 academic year.
The department benefits from a brand-new STEM lab and updated prep rooms, as well as subject-specific technicians who work closely with teaching staff. The team currently delivers AQA GCSE Science (Combined and Triple) with a focus on knowledge retention and exam fluency. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum design and targeted intervention work.
This school is known for its strong pastoral system and the way it supports learners from a range of backgrounds. Class sizes are capped at a lower-than-average number to allow for more focused teaching, and behaviour is well managed through a positive behaviour policy consistently enforced by senior leaders.
Staff here feel part of a wider network of professionals, with opportunities for collaboration across trust schools and a structured pathway into middle leadership for those with ambition. ECTs benefit from in-house mentors and reduced timetables in their first year.
