The School:

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of our client secondary school in Nottingham who are looking to recruit a teacher of Science, with a Chemistry specialism to start after May Half Term. The school are looking to recruit a teacher on a full-time basis to cover a long-term absence. You will be required to plan, deliver, and mark the work of the students so experience with this is essential.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Science Teacher, teaching Chemistry up to A Level, and assisting with the delivery of General Science to KS3
• Starting after May Half Term
• The role is temporary, but could become extended beyond the original terms
• Science as a subject specialism
• Development and improvement of Science resources within the department
• Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme
• Competitive rates of pay

The Essentials:

• Must be available for full time work 
• Must have QTS or completed PGCE – both experienced Science teachers and NQTs are welcome to apply
• Must have suitable school-based references
• Must have a fully enhanced Child Workforce Only DBS.
