Full-Time Science Teacher – Secondary Alternative Provision (SEMH)

Are you a passionate and resilient Science teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a Secondary Alternative Provision that caters to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. From September, this fantastic school is seeking a dedicated full-time Science teacher to join their team.

The Role:

Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons (KS3–KS4) across all three disciplines.

Adapt teaching styles to support pupils with SEMH and a range of additional needs.

Create a safe and structured learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.

Collaborate with pastoral and support staff to implement tailored behaviour and learning strategies.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

Experience teaching Science at secondary level, ideally within an SEN/SEMH or alternative provision setting.

Strong classroom management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.

Committed to helping vulnerable young people re-engage with their education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
