Science Teacher – Southend, Wickford, Billericay & Chelmsford

Full‑Time | Qualified Teachers Only (QTS Required)
Start Dates: Easter 2026 or September 2026

We are recruiting fully qualified Science Teachers (QTS essential) for a range of secondary schools across Southend, Wickford, Billericay, and Chelmsford. Opportunities are available for both Easter and September 2026 starts. These positions are well‑suited to experienced practitioners seeking stability and strong departmental support.

The Role

  • Deliver high‑quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare and assess in line with curriculum requirements
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students’ academic progress and personal development
  • Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community

Both specialist (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and general Science teachers are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)FQT only
  • Strong curriculum and subject knowledge in Science
  • Proven experience teaching KS3–KS4
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management
  • A commitment to raising standards and supporting student outcomes

ECTs will be considered for these roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
