Science Teacher – Derby Secondary School
Full time permanent position, MPS/UPS salary
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant Derby secondary school. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to providing high quality education and fostering a love for science among students.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Developing and implementing schemes of work in line with the national curriculum
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
- Using innovative teaching methods to support and inspire students of all abilities
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management
- Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events
- Supporting the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
You need:
- QTS or equivalent
- A degree in a relevant science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
