Science Teacher

***TEACHING PERSONNEL PAY TO SCALE***

Qualifications:

  • BA degree in relevant science subject
  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification
  • PGCE
  • NQT accepted

Skills:

  • Experience within an educational setting
  • Excellent knowledge of science subjects and secondary curriculum
  • Ability to teach across all elements of the science curriculum (Biology, Physics, Chemistry)
  • Excellent behaviour management and strong classroom presence
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues through training and continuous professional development

Job Duties:

The Science Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to students across all levels. They will ensure the science curriculum is effectively covered and provide support to students as needed. The teacher will maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practises.

Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to teach across all elements of the science curriculum. Strong behaviour management skills, a collaborative approach to work, and a commitment to continuous professional development are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Further postgraduate qualifications in Education or a related field are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
