An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Science to join our client Secondary School in Blackburn. Due to a staffing need within the schools Science department, there is now a vacancy for a Science teacher to join the school after half-term until the end of the academic year. The school have advised that they requires someone in the afternoons on Mon-Thurs and on a Friday morning but will appoint on a full-time basis if this suits the candidate.
We are looking for a Science teacher with energy, subject knowledge and creativity to inspire our partner schools students. The students all attend school due to SEMH difficulties. Class sizes will therefore be small. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented practitioner who is committed to raising the expectations and achievement of all students. The successful Science teacher will be responsible for teaching KS3 and GCSE Science across a range of ability groups.
The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers or teachers who are new to the profession. A newly qualified teacher will receive excellent support from both Teaching Personnel and the schools internal Academy CPD programme. The successful Science Teacher will join a positive willing and committed team who will support the successful teacher throughout the role.
