We’re Hiring: Secondary Science Teachers in Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time / Part-Time | Flexible Supply with Permanent Opportunities | Key Stage 3 & 4
Specialisms: Biology, Chemistry, Physics (all welcome)

We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Science Teachers in Bristol, across all science specialisms, who are seeking flexible supply work with the opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles.
✅ The Role:
-
Deliver engaging and practical Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Teach across your specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), with general science where required
-
Encourage curiosity, investigation, and scientific thinking
-
Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND
-
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom and laboratory environment
-
Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
-
Work collaboratively with science departments, support staff, and parents
-
Gain experience across a variety of school settings through supply placements
✅ Who This Role Suits:

Qualified Science Teachers (QTS or equivalent)
-
ECTs/NQTs seeking classroom experience and exposure to different schools
-
Experienced teachers looking for flexible working arrangements

Teachers open to long-term or permanent positions following supply roles

Educators passionate about science and student achievement
✅ Experience & Requirements:
-
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or pending QTS
-
Degree or strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related science
-
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and/or KS4 (including during training)
-
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Ability to adapt quickly in new school environments
-
Commitment to inclusive, high-quality education
-
Enhanced Child-Only DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
