An excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant before starting a Teacher Training course.

Teaching Personnel are seeking recent or upcoming graduates of Science subjects to join their ‘Future Teachers’ Graduate Teacher Internship starting from September 2020. The ‘Future Teachers’ Graduate Teacher Internship has been designed to address the shortage of core subject teachers across Greater Manchester and across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent or upcoming Science graduates to gain valuable classroom experience before starting a PGCE or other Teacher Training programme in the future.

  • Spend a full academic year as a Teaching Assistant at one of our partner schools in North Manchester
  • Partner schools are located in Oldham, Rochdale, Prestwich & Bury
  • Become part of a successful Science department
  • Learn from experienced and dedicated professionals throughout the school
  • Support applying for the school’s own training programme or an affiliated scheme

As the placement progresses, the successful Graduate will start to cover lessons within their specialism to gain even more confidence in an educational setting.

Prospective applicants should hold a degree in a Science related subject having recently finished their course and should be available during term time for the duration of the 2020/2021 academic year.
