Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you have strong behaviour management skills and a calm, resilient approach?

We are currently looking for a School Support Worker to join a Secondary Alternative Provision based in Darwen on a long-term supply basis.

Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Days: Monday to Friday
Location: Darwen
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Long-term supply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural and emotional needs

  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted learning strategies

  • Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

  • Confidently manage challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and a positive, consistent approach

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have strong behaviour management skills

  • Be experienced in working within alternative provision or with students with SEMH needs

  • Be patient, empathetic and adaptable to individual needs

  • Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
