School Administrator

Caerphilly
Start date: 23rd February 2026 – 17th July 2026 (possibility of extention into next academic year)
Pay: £95 per day (PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with a welcoming and supportive school provision in Caerphilly to appoint a School Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and friendly professional to play a key role at the heart of the school.

As the first point of contact for families, pupils, and visitors, you will create a warm and professional first impression while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school reception. Previous SIMS administration experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming visitors, signing them in, and issuing/collecting visitor badges

  • Ensuring all visitors are met in Reception and escorted around the school site

  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and emails in a professional and friendly manner

  • Handling general enquiries and liaising with parents/guardians when required

  • Providing administrative support including printing, copying, and collating documents

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:

  • Highly organised, efficient, and proactive, with a positive attitude

  • An excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Enthusiastic, caring, and keen to contribute to all aspects of school life

Successful Applicants Will Have:

  • Completed all required training promptly

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (guidance provided)

  • Registration with the EWC (guidance provided)

  • The ability to provide two professional references

  • The ability to travel to the Caerphilly area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
