Job Title: SATs Intervention Teacher (KS2)
Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible working
Salary: Competitive/Dependent on experience
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and committed SATS Intervention Teacher to support our Year 6 pupils in preparation for their end-of-key-stage assessments. The successful candidate will work with small groups and individual students to boost attainment in English and Maths, with a particular focus on reading comprehension, SPaG, and arithmetic reasoning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to close learning gaps in core subjects.
  • Use data to identify pupils requiring additional support.
  • Provide engaging, differentiated instruction to raise pupil confidence and achievement.
  • Liaise with class teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress and adapt intervention plans as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience in KS2 intervention support.
  • Proven experience raising attainment, ideally in SATs preparation.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment framework.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of varying abilities.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
