Cover Supervisor – Secondary School
Location: S36 (Sheffield area)
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Contract: Flexible / Supply (Full-time & Part-time opportunities available)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in a secondary school based in the S36 area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education or for those seeking flexible work within a school environment.

The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will ensure students remain on task with the work set and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising whole classes across various subjects

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students with their learning where appropriate

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident and professional when working with young people

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Reliable, adaptable, and organised

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable (but not essential)

  • Ability to drive is desirable due to the school location

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
