Religious Studies Teacher

A highly regarded secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to join their dynamic Humanities department from September 2025.

The role:

• Full-time Religious Studies teaching position

• Start date: September 2025

• Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Delivering a thought-provoking curriculum focused on world religions, ethics, and philosophy

• Encouraging respectful dialogue, critical thinking, and cultural awareness

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and debate

• Contributing to the wider school community through clubs, events, or enrichment

The ideal candidate:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)

• Specialism in Religious Studies or a closely related subject

• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for RS

• Ability to create an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Committed to supporting the academic and personal development of all students

• Open to both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs
