A highly regarded secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to join their dynamic Humanities department from September 2025.
The role:

Full-time Religious Studies teaching position

Start date: September 2025

Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
-
Delivering a thought-provoking curriculum focused on world religions, ethics, and philosophy

Encouraging respectful dialogue, critical thinking, and cultural awareness

Planning and delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and debate
-
Contributing to the wider school community through clubs, events, or enrichment
The ideal candidate:
-
A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
-
Specialism in Religious Studies or a closely related subject
-
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for RS
-
Ability to create an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment

Excellent communication and classroom management skills
-
Committed to supporting the academic and personal development of all students

Open to both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
