Teacher of Religious Studies – Blackburn

Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time (long-term temporary)
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

An ambitious and high-performing secondary school in Blackburn is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Religious Studies to join our successful Humanities Faculty from January 2026.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Religious Studies. They will demonstrate the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has the ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Demonstrates a clear commitment to raising standards and supporting the ethos of the school.
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive department.
  • Encourages curiosity, respect, and reflection in all aspects of learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
